Established in 2012, Starbaby continues to be your calming sanctuary in a chaotic world. Nestled in the heart of Alameda’s downtown business district, we specialize in easy-going looks with a bit of edge.
Founded by an artist, we cater to the those who think outside the box, and march to their own drummer. Our clients may not have a lot of time for an elaborate styling routine every day, but they love to express themselves with unique looks. Starbaby is not your typical salon, we aim to provide a relaxing and luxurious environment where you can let your hair down and be yourself.
After our first owner Mary Rose, decided to move her family to the East Coast, she chose Rebecca to take over ownership. Rebecca, who has been at Starbaby since 2013, was thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to keep Starbaby alive, and continue to take it to new heights of excellence.
Jenene has been at Starbaby since 2013 as well, providing edgy low maintenance haircuts and creative color, and now is offering hand made mask chains and accessories as well!
